Initially pub-rock band that had some brief chart success
Long Description
A pub-rock band formed in Sheffield, England. They favoured funk and soulful R&B rather than the three-chord boogie and country music played at the time by most pub-rock bands. Their main vocalist and song-writer was Paul Carrack who later went on to other bands such as Roxy Music, Squeeze and Mike and the Mechanics as well as following a solo career. The other vocalists and song-writers were Alan "Bam" King and Phil Harris, who also formed the band.
